Scotland wedding photographer, Chloe Jane Wedding Photography.

Hello and welcome!! When you get to the end of this page I hope you will find most of your questions answered and you’ll have a good feel of whether or not you would like me to come along and photograph your wedding!

For about 15 years I have been photographing weddings of all sizes and I seem to have fallen into a niche of being the ideal photographer for wild hearted romantics. Lochgoilhead and beyond! People who hate having their photo taken seem to gravitate towards me, which is always very rewarding for me on the day! Seeing people loosen up and start enjoying themselves when I’m taking pictures is amazing and probably largely helped by me being a little silly and giving guidance that will help you as we go.

You don’t want to spend half your wedding day awkwardly posing for pictures and I have no intention of asking you to.

I’ll guide you when you need it, give you space when you don’t, and generally make sure that I’m adding to the enjoyment of your day and not taking for it. The most you’ll have to do with me on the day is during your formal group shots and the couples shoot that follows. Elopements are a lot more hands on, so having a photographer you are comfortable with being in your space is so important. It is for all weddings, but with the smaller ones, there is nowhere to hide and you do end up becoming a large part of the day.

Rest assured there’s not going to be awkward silences with me along for your wedding and I will feel very comfortable having fun with you and your guests. Your pictures should be ‘YOU’, not just a one size fits all, running through the motions experience..

Why Book Me?

I love what I do and that truly will show on your wedding day!

Being part of a wedding day and having the opportunity to capture it from my perspective is a little bit of magic I really would love to capture the authentic, romantic, fun, and amazing day that you will spend with your favourite people in the whole world. Laid back, loved up couples seem to gravitate towards me, and they are my ideal. We have fun, they put their trust in me and we get the most beautiful pictures. I can show you some pictures as we go, helping to build your confidence and trust. This tends to happen during the couples shoot when people are feeling a little awkward. Seeing some of the pictures as we go through the shoot is amazing. Seeing the surprise on my clients faces at how amazing they look will never grow old!

I’m all about the people. You think you hate having your picture taken.. maybe this is because I have never taken your picture. I can help to ‘pose’ you for couples shots in a way that feels so natural, you will actually enjoy yourselves. We will make the most of the scenery and the most of you in it. A large part of the shoot is about you ignoring the camera and focusing on each other. Capturing the closeness between you is what it’s all about!

We’ll have fun and your pictures will reflect how comfortable and happy you were in the moment. You’ll love the outcome. Check out my reviews on Google if you would like to hear what my clients have to say.

My excitement for your day is genuine!! I want to come and be a part of your day, I’ll do a happy dance when you book, be car dancing on the way to your wedding, having fun with you and your guests and I get SO excited when I post your sneak peek!! I reminisce when I edit and then get another bout of excitement when I hit send on the gallery!! I think I might be addicted to this job and that’s how I know I am in the right one!

To find out a little more, take a look at my About Me page. ADHD runs in the family, but in a way that spinning plates and keeping to a timeline actually comes as second nature. I’m not the photographer that makes you late for the wedding breakfast, I’m the one who makes sure you’re on time for it!

How I Work

What to expect if you choose me to be your Scotland wedding photographer..

I think one of the main things that I keep in mind when I’m shooting is that your photography is NOT the most important thing about your day. The most important thing is that you have the most amazing day and that will always be my top priority. I can read a room well and see when people are getting overwhelmed and I need to take a step back. One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to photography and I will adapt on the day to suit you, your guests and the general vibe of the day.

When I’m shooting a wedding I like to keep things romantic, fun and creative. I want to document your day, not dictate it. When I arrive on your wedding day, I get to work. You won’t need to stress or worry about a thing around the photography, I’ll have everything under control. You can just focus on having an awesome day. If I spot something not quite right, I’ll try to help to fix it and give you any advice if I think it will be helpful.

I would spend a large part of your wedding day capturing what is going on around me. Authentic moments that you are going to absolutely love looking back on. Moments of laughter or happy tears, that trigger a memory of what was said, as soon as you see the image. There’s parts of your wedding day that you won’t see until you receive your finished gallery and I think that is just so special. The moments you see, the moments you don’t see and the moments that you had forgotten. All of that with a rather silly photographer, who you can have a laugh with on the day, but will also fix your outfit and be your wing woman for the day.

As a Scotland wedding photographer, one of my favourite parts of the day is the couples shoot. This is when we take a little time away from your guests and get some gorgeous shots of just the two of you. I think a lot of people are a little anxious about this part of the day, but the people who are anxious about it are generally the people who don’t feel comfortable being centre of attention. With that in mind, having a little breather away from your guests and kicking about with me for a while can actually be a much needed breather and reset to see you through the rest of the day. It’s also likely to be one of the only parts of the day where you can appreciate each others company properly. We will go for a romantic walk and I’ll probably spent a lot of the time disappearing behind trees and telling you to look at each other. Unless you ask me to dial up the cheese, your pictures are going to look romantic, natural and make the absolute most of the amazing Scottish scenery where you have chosen to get married.

I’m hoping you’re liking the sound of this so far?!

Regardless of your booking length, I do not cap the amount of images that you will receive. The amount varies from wedding to wedding, but you can get more of an idea by looking at the pricing a little further down the page. Intimate weddings with fewer guests can have fewer images in the finished gallery, as there are simply not the same amount of people to photograph.

Whether you want to end your day at the speeches or want me to be in the middle of a wild ceilidh dance into the night, I will be very happy to tailor the booking to be perfect for you.

When editing has been completed, I will excitedly email you a link to your online gallery! From here you will be able to view and download all your beautiful images, they will be high res files, free from any watermark. You can also order high quality prints through your gallery, should you wish to. The beauty of the online gallery is that as soon as I have finished your editing, you will have access to your images.

For couples who choose an album, your online gallery gives you an option of favouriting your images. This means that I can easily see which images you would like me to use. Duplicate mini albums are also available, making wonderful gifts for parents! They are a perfect handbag size for showing off your beautiful pictures to anyone who will look 😊 The mini albums can only be ordered as copies of a larger main album.

I try to make everything about booking me stress free and if I can help to recommend any suppliers to make your day even more perfect then I absolutely will!

Full day wedding photography is a popular option, as it allows me to document so much of your wonderful day. If you’re not sure what option would be best for your wedding, I would be very happy to help. Just get in touch and we can go from there. I can usually give my clients the option of extending the time on the day, if they don’t feel like they have booked me for quite enough time.

Some people are put off by the idea of ‘getting ready shots’, but they are probably not what you are expecting! It’s all about setting the scene, the details and the final stages of getting ready. I won’t just be in the corner of the room taking lots of pictures of you having your makeup done, I promise! It’s a very special part of the day, filled with anticipation, nerves and excitement!

When choosing your time option, please bear in mind that I start at a time of your choosing, then leave the stated amount of hours later. My time cannot be split across different parts of your day, so ensure I will be arriving at the correct time to capture everything that is important to you.

The most popular time length options for full fay bookings are: 10.30am – 20.30pm & 11am – 21.00pm.
