Hi, great to have you here! My name is Chloé (I know, shocker considering by business name) and I specialise in wedding photography for wild hearted romantics. Argyll, Scotland and beyond..
I’m forever trying to get on top of my editing.. I have so much new work to add to this website! For more recent work, be sure to check out my Instagram. You’ll find a link in various places on the site 🙂
I am the solo person working at Chloe Jane Wedding Photography. I write every email, take every picture and edit every last one of them myself. I am incredibly passionate about my work and genuinely get excited for every wedding and every time I hit send on a finished gallery! I’ve been shooting weddings for 10 years and am fully insured.
My shooting style is relaxed, creative and natural, but when it comes to my couples shots it’s incredibly important to me that they are overflowing with romance. I genuinely just love being there to document these amazing days, more than that, I feel a part of them.
I love what I do, anyone that meets me knows it.
My absolute goal at every wedding I photograph is to provide my clients with pictures that they will absolutely adore and add to their day in a wonderful way. I always want my couples to have the best day. And yes, sometimes that means I will try to help the bride hold back some pre-wedding tears and fix her a drink, rather than snapping away and adding to what can feel like an overwhelming situation. I read the situation and I truly do care about my clients. Your photographer is always a bigger part of your day than you realise and they are with you when you are feeling anxious and then all the truly wonderful moments that come later. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions and I would love to be there with you through them. Cheesy but true!
I’ll try and give you a small snippet of an overview of ‘about me’ on a more personal level.
In 2018 I relocated from Gloucestershire to Lochgoilhead after visiting the village on holiday. After spending each morning crying into my cereal whilst stood on the beach, because I couldn’t imaging ever having to leave, a move was inevitable. I am originally from Scotland, so I think on some level it really did feel like coming home.
I have a little boy, he’s my world. Trixie and Trudy are my wonderful dogs and they take up most of the bed!
I like to be outdoors, walking and kayaking are my favourite outdoorsy things.. although just tinkering in my garden is always a winner too! 7 is my lucky number (because it’s my dogs birthday, ha! Yes, I’m one of those). I’m a secret geek and love The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, I used to snuggle up with my mum and listen to the CD’s. I love to go on adventures around Scotland and am at my happiest on a beach. You’re more likely to find me exploring rock pools than sipping a cocktail on a lounger..
You can find me on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with my camera adventures.
If I can help with any questions then get in touch, you can use the contact form, my number is also available if you would like to send a WhatsApp.

Why Book Me?
I love what I do, anyone that meets me knows it.
Being part of a wedding day and having the opportunity to capture it from my perspective, is magical. I really would love to capture the true, romantic, fun, amazing day that you will spend with your favourite people in the whole world. Laid back, loved up couples seem to gravitate towards me, and they are my ideal. We have fun, they put their trust in me and we get the most beautiful pictures.
The excitement is REAL!! I will genuinely want to come and be a part of your day, I’ll do a happy dance when you book (I’ll tell my husband and my mum, ha!), be buzzing on the drive to you and get SO excited when I post your sneak peek!! I reminisce when I edit and then get another bout of excitement when I hit send on the gallery!! I think I might be addicted to this job and I’m cool with that 🙂
I’m all about the people. You think you hate having your picture taken.. maybe this is because I have never taken your picture. I offer so much reassurance and help to ‘pose’ you for couples shots in a way that feels so natural, you will actually enjoy yourselves. You can hold me to it, so many people say the same thing and I always get good feedback. I think swooning, having a giggle and generally being buzzing about your wedding helps! There are no awkward silences, I will be chirping away to you and telling you how amazingly you’re doing.. or making you shake out your arm because you’re ‘holding it weird’ 🙂
We’ll have fun and your pictures will reflect how comfortable and happy you were in the moment. You’ll love the outcome. Check out my reviews on Google if you would like to hear what my clients have to say.

How I Work
What to expect if you choose me to be your Scotland wedding photographer..
When I’m shooting a wedding I like to keep things romantic, fun and creative. I want to document your day, not dictate it! When I arrive on your wedding day, I get to work. You won’t need to stress or worry about a thing around the photography, I’ll have everything under control. You can just focus on having an awesome day.
I spend a large part of your wedding day capturing what is going on around me. Authentic moments that you are going to absolutely love looking back on. Moments of laughter or happy tears, that trigger a memory of what was said, as soon as you see the image.
The morning of the wedding is also very much shot in a documentary style when it comes to people, but I do really enjoy setting up some shots when it comes to the rings, dress and any other lovely things that you have with you.
After the ceremony usually comes the group shots. These are the combinations of people you would like for your formal pictures. I’ll walk you through all this, don’t worry 🙂
As a Scotland wedding photographer, one of my favourite aspects of wedding photography is the couples shots, which we will keep as natural looking as possible, it’s all about capturing something special between the two of you. This may well end up being one of your favourite parts of your day!! A little adventure, that’s both romantic and a little breather for just the two of you away from everyone else. I put you where I want you, then take a step back and see what magic happens. I truly love this part of the day so so much!
I’m hoping you’re liking the sound of this so far!
For whatever length of booking you decide on, the only time that I take a little break is during the wedding breakfast. Nobody wants to be photographed when they are eating and if it’s a full day booking, I’ll need to have a sit down and something to eat.
Regardless of your booking length, I do not cap the amount of images that you will receive. The amount varies from wedding to wedding, but is usually in the region of 600-750 images for a standard size wedding. Couples that put more time into their couples shots can routinely be at the higher end of this estimation. Intimate weddings can have fewer images as there are simply not the same amount of people to photograph. This will of course have no impact on the amount of couples shots that you will receive.
When editing has been completed, I will excitedly email you a link to your online gallery! From here you will be able to view and download all your beautiful images, they will be high res files, free from any watermark. You can also order high quality prints through your gallery, should you wish to. The beauty of the online gallery is that as soon as I have finished your editing, you will have access to your images. For couples who choose an album, your online gallery gives you an option of favouriting your images. This means that I can easily see which images you would like me to use. Duplicate mini albums are also available, making wonderful gifts for parents, specifically mums! They are a perfect handbag size for showing off your beautiful pictures to anyone who will look 😊

Full day wedding photography is a popular option, as it allows me to document so much of your wonderful day. If you’re not sure what option would be best for your wedding, I would be very happy to help. Just get in touch and we can go from there. It’s always better to go for more coverage than you think you’ll need.
When choosing your time option, please bear in mind that I start at a time of your choosing, then leave the stated amount of hours later. My time cannot be split across different parts of your day, so ensure I will be arriving at the correct time to capture everything you want.
Generally I leave 30 minutes or so after the first dance, so sometimes it’s easier to work out my start time by working out my end time first. 10.30am – 20.30pm & 11am – 21.00pm seem to be the two most popular time choices for full day bookings.
What Happens Next?
If at this point you would love for me to be your Scotland wedding photographer, get in touch! My details can be found on the Contact Chloe page, along with a handy little form 🙂 My number is also there if you would like to send me a WhatsApp. Please remember to include the date and location of your wedding when making contact, so I can check my availability.
I know that planning a wedding can be stressful, so I like to keep things as simple as possible for my clients. Your contract and invoice are sent via email, allowing you to easily digitally sign your contract and make online payment. Simples!
Upon booking, there will be an initial £200 due on your invoice, this is deducted from your balance owed. Your remaining balance will not be due until an exact month before your wedding date.
To see more of my work please take a look at the portfolio section of my website, or take to my Instagram page. If you haven’t already, head over to Google and check out my reviews 🙂 I am very happy to send over a gallery from a full day booking, if you’d like to see more of my work.
Best of luck with your wedding plans and if you think we are the perfect fit, I very much hope to be a part of your special day!
Well of course I couldn’t resist posting about Zack & Ella’s proposal.. As many of you know, I do my fair share of proposal shoots in various locations. This was my first proposal shoot that was indoors, at night and involved me being in the same room as the person about to propose 😆reigning in the human spaniel energy wasn’t possible on my part, but thankfully Zack had similar energy levels and it actually helped to calm his nerves a little 😆 Zack had a selection of romantic songs playing on loop and @whiteheatherevents had decorated the room at @marhallresort beautifully and planned everything to perfection. Ella had travelled up to Scotland to visit her family, leaving Zack in London. She was taken to Mar Hall under the pretence of winning a voucher for dinner.. unfortunately Ella missed a career as a detective and had a good idea of what was going on 😆the most surprised person was Ella’s mum, which was rather lovely to watch. A wonderful experience from start to finish and I’ll post a few more tomorrow ✨Congratulations again! #marhallproposal #marhall #glasgowproposal #scotlandproposal #scotlandproposalphotographer

Would it even be an Inveraray wedding without featuring the Vital Spark?.. A rather famous boat featured in the first image. Davie & Nikki were a lot of fun to hang out with and we had quite a giggle during their couples shoot.. awkward and formal is really not my vibe.. it’s all about fun, creativity and romance.. although this is easier without random tourists wanting to get involved to take their own snaps 😆the joys of Inveraray.. maybe it was an occasion where it didn’t rain though, so I can’t complain too much 🙃 @thegeorgehotelinveraray

Matthew & Hannah ❤️ @isleoferiska This is one of my favourite venues - a private island to play on is certainly a win in my book! You’re spoilt for choice on locations for the ceremony and what follows is a walk, looking for pretty places for pictures. Beach elopement on a private Scottish island anyone? ✨This was the perfect spot for Matthew & Hannah ❤️ @isleoferiska It’s always special being a witness, but for this elopement I got to be a ring bearer too.. also suggesting using an oathing stone for the ceremony. This was such a special elopement and I loved how the couple chose a rather classy G&T for the quaich. Shout out to the suppliers! This was a very private couple, so I’ll keep it to one more sneaky post tomorrow, then that’s your lot 🙃 @alyson.the.humanist
