Grant & Chloe’s Lochgoilhead proposal photoshoot.
Grant got in touch after being recommended by The Boat Shed Cafe (thanks guys!), as he was travelling over from Australia and wanted to plan a secret proposal!
He booked me on Wednesday, travelled on Thursday, and the proposal was set for Friday! It meant we didn’t have long to get everything organised!
Usually, for a Lochgoilhead proposal photoshoot, I’m hiding out in a carpark like a bit of a weirdo… but this time, we went for something different. Instead, I hid in plain sight!
I was flying my drone and pretending I was just out practicing. As Grant and Chloe walked past, I told them I was practicing with some new kit and asked if I could grab a few clips of them, which I would send over later that day. A little bit of acting was definitely required! It stressed me out more than I was anticipating, so I’m not in a rush to do that again! I think the drone being a new toy at this point didn’t help matters!
I guided Grant & Chloe down onto the beach and got them looking out at the view. With the drone hovering and recording, I quietly reached for my camera (which I’d hidden in position earlier) and managed to capture the proposal from the perfect spot, both photographs from the ground and a video from the air..
A huge thank you to The Boat Shed Cafe for the recommendation and for looking after Grant & Chloe so well afterwards. They got roses, fizz, and the best seats.
Another brilliant Lochgoilhead proposal photoshoot, and such a special moment to be part of.
