Carrick Castle Estate wedding, by Chloe Jane Wedding Photography.
My goodness, I adored this wedding!! It was windy, wet and perfect! A beautiful wedding for six, with the beautiful Maisie dog coming along for a wedding day appearance, to make sure the day was perfect!
My usual on the morning of the wedding, is to pop outside for pictures of the rings and other goodies. On this particular wedding, the weather really wasn’t playing ball. I quite enjoyed looking at the inside of the Lodge in a different way, finding the perfect spots to photograph some lovely things.
If you had seen the weather, you would be incredibly impressed that Jill and John were willing to risk making a mad dash up the hill for pictures!! The timing worked out perfectly, with the rain just beginning as we were finishing.
We couldn’t do the usual route over the water, as it was far too wild to drive over. I don’t think I have ever seen the waterfall thundering like this before!! It was lovely to go up as far as the track would allow, it had me reminiscing about a previous wedding in this exact spot!
There was so much laughter at this wonderful wedding, such an atmosphere, even with just the six of them!
I rummaged about the venue, collecting every candle I could find (with the help of the amazing chef), so set up a candlelit first dance, for Jill and John. It was so romantic!
I had a little flurry of Carrick Castle Estate wedding bookings late last year, spending three out of four Saturdays shooting there! Always a favourite venue of mine and somewhere so close to home! Always an added bonus when it comes to winter weddings.
