Wedding Photography

Scotland wedding photographer, Chloé Jane Wedding Photography.

Hello! You guessed it, my name is Chloé and as you’re here, I’m very much hoping I may be the Scotland wedding photographer for you! I hope you will find many of your questions answered here, but I am always on hand to help you with any others that you may have.

Please feel free to give me a call and we can talk all things wedding. One of my favourite pass times! There’s quite a lot of information here, so if you just want to go over the basics and we can talk through the rest, that’s no problem at all!

Why Book Me?

I always want to stress to my couples that I adore what I do and I have a fire in my belly for my work. Being part of a wedding day and having the opportunity to capture it from my perspective, is magical. I really would love to capture the true, romantic, fun, amazing day that you will spend with your favourite people in the whole world.

Your wedding photography is what allows you to reminisce about your wedding in the years to come. Remembering all the special moments and reliving the precious memories.

I understand the importance of your wedding day and will always treat your wedding as something unique. I can shoot several weddings in the same venue, but you can guarantee with me, I’m never just running through the same old process. Your images will be different, they will be bespoke to you and your beautiful day. I get excited for different weddings, different vibes off my couples and shooting in different ways that suits them. For me, one size really doesn’t fit all when it comes to wedding photography.

Finding the balance of someone who’s work you love, but also someone you feel comfortable in front of is important. The last thing anyone wants is over choreographed, awkward wedding pictures.

We’ll have fun, I’ll swoon at your couples shots and you will love, love, love your pictures! I’m a real people person, so you can guarantee I’ll put you at ease, and will be mingling in and capturing all the fun, love and real moments!

How I Work

You may have seen my images and hopefully liked what you have seen, but I would also like to give you an overview on what to expect when you book me as your Scotland wedding photographer.

When I’m shooting a wedding I like to keep things light hearted, fun and creative. This always puts people at ease, which results in the best images.

My style of wedding photography is a style that is unique to me. A wonderful mixture of documentary, with loved up quirky romance. I spend a large part of your wedding day keeping my head down and blurring in with the rest of your guests. My focus is on telling the story of your wedding day, documenting the real love, joy and all round wonderfulness around me.

The morning of the wedding is very much documentary when it comes to people, but I do really enjoy setting up some shots of your rings, dress, etc. Think rings balancing on pretty plants, the bridal bouquet leaning against a rustic tree, and you’ll be along the right track. I get odd looks, but the finished pictures are always totally worth it!

As a Scotland wedding photographer, one of my favourite aspects of wedding photography is the couples shots, and I will ask you to include these in your wedding timeline. Ideally we will do these twice, once after your group shots and then again some time after the wedding breakfast. I like to keep the couples shots as natural looking as possible, it’s all about capturing something special between the two of you. Timeless, elegant and authentic.. aka super dreamy.

If you are a little apprehensive about being photographed, please don’t worry. I’m very friendly, easy going and will do my best to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. If you’re nervous, please just give me a call and we can have a good old chat! This is a great way to put you at ease if you’re feeling a bit apprehensive.

On your wedding day, I will be with you for 10 hours. This allows me to cover from towards the end of the morning preparations, right the way through to the first dance. Meaning I can capture all the main events of the day, and all the wonderful moments in-between. I like to start the day with capturing some beautiful shots of your rings, shoes and flowers. If there is a nice outdoor space, it can be lovely to find somewhere pretty to hang THE dress.

For the 10 hours that I am with you, the only time that I take a break is during the wedding breakfast. I take this opportunity to have a sit down and something to eat. But I will absolutely be back with you to capture the speeches!

As a result of so much shooting time, I have a lot of images to go through after the wedding. I do not cap the amount of images that my couples will receive. If I like the image, then you’ll receive it. Simples! The amount varies from wedding to wedding, but is usually between 600-750 images for a standard size wedding. Couples that put more time into their couples shots can routinely be at the higher end of the scale. Intimate weddings can have fewer images as there are simply not the same amount of people to photograph. This will of course have no impact on the amount of couples shots that you will receive.

When editing has been completed, I will email you a link to your personal online gallery. From here you will be able to view and download all your beautiful images. Your loved ones will be excited to see your wedding pictures, so you are able to share your link with them too if you would like. They will also be able to download images or order any high quality prints of their choosing. The beauty of the online gallery is that as soon as I have finished your editing, you will have access to your images, even if you’re out of the country. For couples who choose to have either wall art or an album, your online gallery gives you an option of favouriting your images. This means that I can easily see which images you would like me to use for your artwork.

If you’re not sure what option would be best for your wedding, please call to discuss, I would be very happy to help!

When choosing your time option, please bear in mind that I start at a time of your choosing, then leave the stated amount of hours later. My time cannot be split across different parts of your day, so ensure I will be arriving at the correct time to capture everything you want me to.

Date priority is given to full and essentials day coverage. For this reason, half day bookings can usually be made a maximum of 8 months in advance of your wedding date.

What Happens Next?

To move forward with booking me as your Scotland wedding photographer, get in touch! My details can be found on the Contact Chloe page. Either give me a call, or drop me an email containing your wedding date and venue and we can arrange a time for a chat.

I know that planning your wedding is stressful, so I like to keep things as simple as possible for my clients. Your contract and invoice are sent via email, allowing you to easily digitally sign your contract and make online payment. There is an option on your invoice to set up an interest free pay monthly option. This can be set up to come out of your account on a set date of your choosing, but must be paid in full one month prior to your wedding.

I am by no means limited to being a Scotland wedding photographer, weddings further afield are always considered. If you have a destination wedding in mind then I would love to come along! A break from rainy Argyll sounds dreamy.

Best of luck with your wedding plans and I can’t wait to be a part of your special day!
